Malaysian designer Alia Bastamam is well known to bring her designs to a cool, comfortable and neoteric up-to-date culture into the glamorous and enduring idea of fashion. With creations that aren’t shy from the local red carpets and events, Alia Bastamam’s designs are unique, enduring and never out of style. With sharp cuts and fine tailoring that compliments the wearer, she is inspired by unequivocal beauty at first sight and what looks best on a woman.
Recently, Alia Bastamam launched her first ever Bridal Collection for 2013 and it was love at first sight. The timeless designs of this collection consists of gorgeous intricate designs using lace, beading, and the choice of soft fabric making the bride feel feminine, classic, sophisticated, comfortable and beautiful. Some of the designs revives archetypal Alia Bastamam details such as the racer back, the wrap dress, toga kaftan, and the undeniably high slit.

The launch of the Bridal collection “The Reception” was held on the 4th of March 2013 at Frangipani Restaurant in Changkat Bukit Bintang. We were so happy that we were able to attend it, because not only was it about showcasing the wedding dresses, they transformed the entire venue and event into a reflection of the perfect wedding. From the music, the decor, canapes and cocktails, the atmosphere was definitely a teaser for Brides-To-Be.
